Dear DFWHIMSS Members and Colleagues,

It is with great excitement and a sense of pride to serve as the President of the DFW HIMSS
Chapter. I have always been humbled and honored to be a part of an organization that impacts
our community as much as HIMSS. We continue to make strides in advancing healthcare
technology within our region and beyond. The upcoming year is filled with an abundance of
events, and I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the events.

I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to our very own Brittany Royal-Killam for
her recent appointment to a prestigious position with Global HIMSS. This new position will
require her to step down as President to continue to represent HIMSS at a global level.
Brittany’s dedication, leadership, and vision have been invaluable to the success of
DFW HIMSS. You will continue to see Brittany at events as her passion for HIMSS will continue
to be a part of this chapter.

As we move forward, I encourage all of you to remain engaged and active in the initiatives we
have underway at DFW HIMSS. Together, we can create meaningful change in our healthcare
systems, and I am confident that we will continue to lead the charge in fostering innovation and
collaboration across our industry.

A couple of my focuses this year will be to increase our student involvement and professional
development. I think of HIMSS as my family, and we take care of each other. Our academic
members are our future, and we as seasoned members can provide guidance for their next
career step. For those members looking for new opportunities can benefit from their connections
with our members. We will strive to hold some professional development events in the next year
to ensure the future of healthcare will be in good hands.
