Indulge in a delectable meal while engaging in insightful discussions about how AI is reshaping diagnostics, treatment, and patient experiences. Join healthcare professionals and AI innovators for a stimulating conversation that will leave you inspired and empowered to leverage the power of AI for the betterment of patient outcomes. · Join HIMSS Central Texas for an in-depth exploration of Electronic Health Records (EHRs) and Health Information Technology (HIT) in the Age of AI. This symposium will bring together industry leaders, healthcare professionals, and technology experts to discuss the transformative impact of artificial intelligence on EHRs and HIT. Learn about the latest advancements, challenges, and future directions in this rapidly evolving field. After the symposium, connect with fellow attendees at our social event from 6:00PM - 8:00PM at Scholz Garten, where you can unwind and continue the conversation in a relaxed atmosphere. · Global Health Equity Week takes place November 11- 15, 2024. Each Texas HIMSS Chapter will be hosting an event either in person or virtual to celebrate this week, please check your local chapters websites for more information.
· Texas Advocacy Day will be March 24th in Austin, Texas. We plan to be at the Austin State Capital and talk with Legislatures and their staff. More to come ….

Elsie Gori As a second career nurse, Elsie found her niche in clinical informatics, marrying her previous career as a semiconductor technologist with her nursing career. This fed her natural disposition to challenge the status quo and work towards improvement. Currently leads clinical Informatics with diverse experience in hospital-based informatics, nursing operational understanding and project management. She is passionate about making a difference through advocating for improved access to healthcare for urban and rural areas in Texas.
Dr. Philip P. Huang is a visionary leader in public health, renowned for his transformative use of information and technology to improve health outcomes. As Director of Dallas County Health and Human Services, his innovative initiatives in disease prevention and health promotion have set new standards in public health practice. Dr. Huang’s bold leadership and commitment to health equity make him a true changemaker.
