Some say the holiday season begins as soon as Halloween wraps up. Others say it doesn't start until the Thanksgiving leftovers are packed and put away. No matter where you stand, one thing's for sure: There is plenty of time to prepare for the upcoming holidays to get you in the festive spirit — whatever and whenever that may be.
Veteran's Day and Thanksgiving get the most attention (and for good reason), but November surely begins awareness days and observances centered around what matters most: expressing thanks for life's many blessings, spending time with friends and family, and warming the soul with comfort food. It is also a time where we can assist others not as fortunate as ourselves to get their families prepared for the Holidays.
DFW HIMSS will host a Senior Day lunch celebrating our Veterans at the Network of Community Ministries on November 7th from 11 am - 1 pm.
